Course Description
We'll trace the remarkable journey of blended tube feeding—beginning with determined parents in the early 2000s who pioneered homemade blends, leading to today's expanded options including commercial food-based formulas. Today, parents and clinicians have more options to nourish tube fed children (and adults) well. Our goal is to share this history while increasing your confidence in using real food approaches for tube-fed individuals.
In this 2 hour webinar, you will learn to:
-
Describe the history of homemade blended tube blends
-
Identify lived experience and researched benefits of blended tube meals
-
List a variety of ways a family could start homemade blended tube meals.
-
Identify how to optimize a child’s nutrition to support their growth and development with blended tube meals
